Samsung Electronics showcased its latest AI-powered home and business appliances to more than 50 media representatives and influencers from across Southeast Asia and Oceania at its annual The Brief event, held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 14 October.

The event, held at Samsung’s newly opened Business Experience Studio in Hanoi, featured an expanded line-up spanning air conditioning, laundry and connected home appliances, alongside a preview of the company’s upcoming 2027 room air conditioner.

Smarter cooling and new B2B laundry solutions

Samsung’s new laundry solutions are designed to support specific B2B needs with large capacities, durability and flexible installation.

Samsung has expanded its HVAC portfolio across residential and commercial environments, building on its WindFree technology with AI-powered features such as AI Motion Wind, which adapts airflow based on user movement, and WindFree Wearable Good Sleep, which can adjust cooling performance based on a user’s sleep state via a compatible wearable device.

On the commercial side, Samsung introduced new B2B laundry solutions, including an 18kg washer with a 36-minute normal cycle and a 14kg dryer capable of completing heavy-duty loads within 45 minutes, aimed at businesses that need durable, high-capacity equipment.

Connected homes that evolve after purchase

Samsung also highlighted updates to its AI-powered appliance ecosystem, including enhanced AI Vision in its Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, which can recognise more food items with greater accuracy, and a new FoodNote widget that generates shopping list suggestions based on consumption patterns.

“Our line-ups are designed to meet real-user needs and as we continue to introduce new innovations, we will focus on expanding the reach of products to benefit more customers, enhance AI experiences for further convenience and personalisation, and strengthen the reliability and durability of appliances for both homes and enterprises,” said Bernard Ang, Regional Head of Home Appliances and Vice President, Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Eligible appliances will continue to receive up to seven years of software updates, the company said, as part of its push to keep connected appliances improving long after purchase.
