vivo has launched the V80 Lite 5G in Singapore, bringing a 10,000mAh-class battery to its V Series smartphone line-up for the first time. The device went on sale on 26 September.

The battery, built on 4th-generation silicon anode technology, powered the phone through a 32-hour, 37-minute continuous test that vivo says set a Guinness World Records title for the longest electronic product testing livestream.

Built for daily wear and tear

The V80 Lite 5G has passed military-grade durability testing, with an IP68 and IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, and a claimed drop resistance of three metres onto carpet. vivo says the battery retains at least 80 per cent of its capacity even after seven years of typical use.

The phone carries a 50MP main camera and a 32MP wide-angle selfie camera with a 90-degree field of view, alongside AI features such as AI Erase for removing unwanted elements from photos and a Check-in Watermark tool that stamps images with time and location details.

Pricing and availability in Singapore

The V80 Lite 5G is priced from S$499 for the 18GB (6GB+12GB) plus 128GB configuration, and S$699 for the 24GB (8GB+16GB) plus 256GB version. It is available through Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and retailers including Challenger, Best Denki, Courts, Harvey Norman, Gain City, FairPrice Xtra and Popular.

vivo marked the launch with the opening of its second experience store in Singapore, at Jurong Point, where the first 20 customers to pre-order on opening day received a complimentary goodie bag worth S$199.
