Trip.Biz, the business travel arm of Trip.com Group, has launched an AI suite it says cuts average booking time from 45 minutes to two minutes, as it looks to expand beyond Asia Pacific into Europe and other markets.

The platform, called Agent ONE, was unveiled at Trip.Biz’s Transform 2026 conference in Singapore, attended by 200 senior leaders from travel, procurement, finance and HR functions at multinational companies.

Four agents built around the travel lifecycle

Agent ONE is made up of four connected AI agents. A Planning Agent converts natural-language requests into policy-compliant travel options. A Booking Agent handles conversational bookings, which the company says has cut average booking time by roughly 90 per cent in early testing. An Approval Agent auto-clears low-risk requests, reducing wait times from over an hour to under three seconds, while an Insight Agent generates full travel spend analysis reports in under seven minutes — work that previously took analysts up to a week.

“The complexity isn’t the APAC region, it’s the model,” said Eugene Tan, Trip.Biz’s general manager for Southeast Asia, arguing that legacy travel management companies, digital-only platforms and in-house programmes each solve only part of the problem multinational travel teams face.

Betting on consistency over patchwork solutions

Trip.Biz says its platform has delivered a 90 per cent service-level-agreement compliance rate and an 80-per-cent-plus satisfaction score across the markets it serves. Product director Terence Eng told the conference that a single platform alone doesn’t eliminate booking leakage — travellers will keep going around it unless the content and usability are also right.
