CapCut marks 660 million users with Singapore event

CapCut has passed 660 million users across more than 170 markets and 30 languages, spanning Southeast Asia, the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. To mark the milestone, the video editing platform held the first stop of CapCut World, a new series of community events, in Singapore over the weekend, bringing together more than 300 creators, industry figures and CapCut staff.

Templates and Skills anchor the creator community

CapCut’s template library adds more than 400,000 new templates a day, giving creators a starting point for everything from travel clips to trend-driven edits. The platform recently added Skills, a feature that lets creators save and share not just a finished edit but the workflow behind it, so others can adapt the same technique.

Filmmaker Vee Camallere, whose AI series Featherweight has drawn more than 25 million views, saved her colour-grading process as a Skill to keep the look consistent across episodes instead of rebuilding it each time.

“The look stays consistent, that’s what sets this whole process apart,” said Vee Camallere, filmmaker and CapCut creator.

AI tools now span the full creative workflow

CapCut now offers more than 85 AI tools, which the company says have powered over 6 billion content generations — images, video clips and effects — in 2026 alone, with more than 7 million creators using its AI features daily.

“Our roots are in making video creation easier and more accessible,” said Xiaoqi Fu, Global Head of CapCut.

CapCut World will next travel to Los Angeles and London later this year.
