F5 has announced a technology integration with MuleSoft, a Salesforce company, bringing F5 AI Guardrails directly into Agent Fabric to deliver inline security and governance for agentic AI applications.
The integration, announced in Singapore, embeds AI runtime security into agentic AI workflows, letting enterprises centrally enforce security policies and guard against threats such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, harmful outputs and sensitive data exposure without re-architecting existing systems.
Closing the governance gap in agentic AI
As organisations scale AI agents, security teams often lack visibility into agentic traffic and risk exposure from prompt injection, harmful outputs and data leakage. The integration federates F5’s runtime AI security into Agent Fabric’s Omni Gateway, letting enterprises enforce unified guardrail policies across all prompts and outputs moving through agentic workflows.
The companies said the collaboration gives organisations a single control plane for AI traffic policy, consistent runtime security controls across Agentforce-powered agents and custom applications, and flexible dual-deployment options that keep sensitive prompt and completion data within customer boundaries — supporting compliance with regulations such as the EU AI Act, GDPR and HIPAA.
“AI agents are moving from experiments into the critical path of the enterprise,” said Kunal Anand, Chief Product Officer at F5. “The biggest risk in agentic AI is that agents will move faster than enterprise security and governance models can keep up.”
Anand said the integration puts protection in the path of every prompt and response, allowing organisations to move faster with AI while preserving the control, visibility and accountability their business processes demand.
Andrew Comstock, SVP and General Manager at MuleSoft, said Agent Fabric was built as a neutral solution for enterprises running agents across a mix of models and platforms, and that extending it to support F5 AI Guardrails as a first-class provider makes it easier for customers to scale agentic deployments on security tooling they already trust.
F5 AI Guardrails for Agent Fabric is now generally available. The companies plan to demonstrate the integration at Dreamforce in San Francisco from 15 to 17 September 2026.
