Digital Realty has been selected under Singapore’s second Data Center Call for Application (DC-CFA2), securing a provisional allocation of 50 megawatts (MW) to build a new data centre at JTC’s low-carbon data centre park on Jurong Island.
The selection follows an open competitive process led by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), and will expand Digital Realty’s Singapore platform to four data centres. The company has operated in the country since 2010 and currently runs three facilities with roughly 84 MW of combined capacity.

Built for AI-ready, sustainable capacity
The new facility is designed to meet DC-CFA2’s energy efficiency requirements, with more than half of its capacity to be powered through green energy pathways. It will support growing demand for AI inference, high-performance computing and enterprise digital workloads across Asia Pacific.

- A pilot raising operating temperatures by 2°C across two data halls cut energy consumption by approximately 2–3%.
Reinforcing Singapore’s regional hub status
Once operational, the fourth Singapore data centre will connect into Digital Realty’s global PlatformDIGITAL ecosystem via ServiceFabric, its service orchestration platform linking sites across the world. The company said the expansion reflects Singapore’s role as a trusted digital infrastructure hub as enterprises move AI workloads from experimentation into production, which increases the need for capacity located close to users and enterprise data.
