Tenable has launched the CyberAgents Exchange, an open-source registry for AI agents, skills, MCP servers and multi-agent playbooks, which it describes as the first purpose-built, cybersecurity-native exchange of its kind.
Announced on 6 August 2026, the free, vendor-agnostic platform lets security practitioners discover, share and build trusted AI components, with code-level visibility into who built each component, when it was created, and its peer-supported status.
SentinelOne and Recorded Future sign on as founding members
SentinelOne and Recorded Future have joined as founding members, contributing secure AI agents, integration frameworks and playbooks to the exchange. More than 50 AI components are already available under open-source licences, including a command-line vulnerability management agent from Tenable, a SentinelOne Purple AI MCP server, and a Recorded Future skill that cross-references MITRE ATT&CK techniques against live Tenable findings.

Addressing vendor lock-in and duplicated effort
Tenable said security teams increasingly build AI agents in isolation because existing exchanges are either general-purpose or vendor-gated, leading to duplicated design work and lock-in. The CyberAgents Exchange is intended as a unified, cyber-specific hub instead.

The launch coincides with SWARM: The Cybersecurity Agentic AI Build Event, a multi-day build event at Black Hat USA 2026 sponsored by AWS and supported by Anthropic, where practitioners are building open-source security agents and MCP servers.
