Singapore-based AI tech services firm NCS has expanded its suite of enterprise-ready AI solutions, called Sunshine.AI, to include agentic assistants, developer tools, an AI foundational platform, productivity platforms, and an AI safety engine.

With Sunshine.AI, they aim to help organisations accelerate transformation with safety, governance, and compliance from day one.

Launched at its annual forum, NCS AI Impact 2026, the Singtel subsidiary also announced its partnership with Alibaba Cloud. The partners will work to help organisations adopt AI securely while optimising performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

They aim to combine Alibaba Cloud’s AI infrastructure and intelligence, including Qwen’s AI platforms and foundation models, with NCS’ expertise in governance, security, systems integration, and implementation.

NCS also launched RAMP (Robot and AI in-Motion Programme), a by-invitation sandbox where NCS, AWS Generative AI Innovation Centre (GenAIIC), Dell Technologies, and NVIDIA can collaborate to build client solutions across sectors like public safety, smart buildings, and physical operations.

Sam Liew, CEO of NCS

“For many years, NCS has been known as a trusted systems integrator, experienced in implementing mission-critical projects,” said Sam Liew, CEO at NCS in the opening keynote of NCS AI Impact. “But in this intelligentisation era, that role must evolve. Clients no longer need someone who can implement technology, they need a partner who can orchestrate entire ecosystems and the ability to translate fast-moving AI into real-world outcomes.

“We are rewiring NCS to become an AI-led tech services organisation. What does that mean? In practical terms, it means changing how we organise ourselves. It means building stronger industry focus so that our teams do not just understand technology but understand the realities of our client sectors.

“It means a new operating model where AI helps teams move from idea to implementation in days and weeks, not months and years. That is why we have formed NCS AI central, led by our chief AI officer, Edward Chen. Its role is to accelerate innovation, scale adoption, build reusable platforms, and help our clients move from AI ambition to AI outcomes.”

AI as multiplier of outcomes, not mere task replacement

With the latest Sunshine.AI suite of proprietary tools and platforms, NCS aims to enable enterprises to deploy AI within their own environments while maintaining full ownership of their data and models.

Sunshine.AI was first unveiled in 2025 and is built on an open-standards and sovereign-ready foundation. NCS has upgraded its initial tools like Sunshine.coder, Sunshine.operations, and Sunshine.productivity with agentic AI capabilities.

“I’m very pleased to announce that we have made significant gains [in the past year],” said Edward Chen, Chief AI Officer at NCS in a media briefing.

He shared that they found real productivity gains from “vigorous testing” and real application of the tools by NCS employees. With Sunshine.coder, NCS managed to shorten certain coding tasks “from weeks into days” — it lifted developer productivity and quality by 15%.

With Sunshine.operations, NCS managed to cut IT incident escalations or time to respond for operational use cases by 40%. As for Sunshine.productivity, they found that it saved employees over two hours a week on average.

The upgraded tools can be complemented by Sunshine.kaisense, a new video AI platform for real-time monitoring and analysis.

Other new solutions include:

“The gap between [operations and technology] is where most AI transformation dies,” said Chen in his keynote at the forum. “Why do so many organisations get stuck? Because they’re all doing the right thing, but only at the surface: chat bots, summarisation tools, automation workflows [lead to] real productivity gains.

“However, when AI is layered on top of how you already work [with] the same processes, the same approval chain, the same operating model, you only make the old engine faster. You do not build a new engine. Ten percent is a productivity story — you add AI to what you do today. But 10x [outcomes] is a structural story — you rebuild what you do today around AI. Both are real, but only one changes your position in the market.”
