Fortinet Brings AI-Powered Network Detection to Singapore with New NDR Cloud PoP

Fortinet has launched a new FortiNDR Cloud Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Singapore, bringing advanced AI-powered Network Detection and Response (NDR) capabilities on-shore for the first time in the region. The deployment addresses a growing challenge for security teams across ASEAN and Asia-Pacific: detecting threats that are specifically designed to evade traditional security tools by masquerading as normal network traffic.

What FortiNDR Cloud Does

FortiNDR Cloud is delivered as a cloud-based service that uses AI-powered analytics, behavioural detection, and FortiGuard Labs threat intelligence to identify anomalous activity across complex network environments. By analysing network traffic and metadata, the platform helps organisations uncover suspicious behaviours that may otherwise blend into normal business activity — enabling security teams to detect threats earlier and reduce attacker dwell time across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and operational technology (OT) environments. The platform includes AI-powered guidance, natural language capabilities, and 365-day retrospective hunting to support SOC teams in investigating threats more efficiently.

The Singapore PoP also supports organisations with localised infrastructure to address regional compliance requirements and data residency expectations, which have tightened as cyber risk has climbed up boardroom agendas across the region.

Why Singapore, Why Now

Fortinet said the investment reflects the increased complexity facing enterprise security teams in the region: distributed workforces, expanding cloud environments, and attackers who have mastered lateral movement using legitimate tools and trusted platforms to remain undetected for extended periods. The company said the on-shore infrastructure enables customers and partners to benefit from security services delivered closer to where they operate, backed by the global threat intelligence of FortiGuard Labs.

“Organizations across ASEAN and Asia-Pacific are operating in increasingly complex digital environments, where security teams must manage growing cloud adoption, hybrid operations, and rapidly evolving cyber risks. Fortinet’s continued investment in Singapore reflects our long-term commitment to helping customers build stronger cyber resilience through integrated, AI-powered security capabilities delivered closer to where they operate.” — Jack Chan, VP, Product Management and Field CTO APAC, Fortinet

Jess Ng, Country Head for Singapore and Brunei at Fortinet, said the new PoP helps customers improve visibility across distributed environments and supports faster, more efficient security operations as cyber threats become more sophisticated and difficult to detect.
