MedPlanner Launches AI Clinical Suite Covering Full Care Journey

MedPlanner, a clinician-founded health technology company headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, has launched two AI-powered solutions that complete its full-stack clinical platform: HEMI Health, an AI medical scribe with built-in medicolegal protection for clinicians, and AskHEMI, a multilingual health companion application for patients managing chronic conditions.

Both products run on HEMI (Health Medical Intelligence), a proprietary clinical AI engine built in Southeast Asia. Together with HEMI Teams, the company’s existing hospital coordination platform, the three solutions form what MedPlanner describes as a complete care journey ecosystem spanning institutional coordination, clinical documentation, and at-home patient support.

AI Scribing with Medicolegal Protection

HEMI Health targets a persistent pain point in clinical practice: documentation burden and the growing medicolegal exposure clinicians carry individually. The platform combines AI medical scribing with structured clinical reasoning documentation, evidence-based decision support, and professional complaint response tools. It is currently available to clinicians in Malaysia and the United Kingdom.

“Other companies build AI products. We built an engine. HEMI Health does not just scribe. It documents clinical reasoning, supports professional self-protection, and builds a contemporaneous record that stands up in any review. That is not a feature. That is a foundation.” — Dr Ezam Mat Ali, Founder and CEO, MedPlanner

The medicolegal protection suite — covering contemporaneous reasoning documentation, reflective practice, and structured complaint response — is a capability MedPlanner claims is not available elsewhere in the clinical AI market.

Patient-Facing Companion App

AskHEMI addresses the gap between clinical appointments, offering 24/7 access to clinically grounded health guidance in multiple languages. Unlike general-purpose AI assistants, it is built on the HEMI clinical knowledge base rather than repurposed from open-web data. The app is available globally as a free download on iOS and Android, with enterprise customisation available for healthcare organisations, insurers, and wellness brands.

Global Expansion and UK Market Entry

To support its international rollout, MedPlanner has incorporated HEMI Limited in London as its distribution arm for the UK, Europe, and beyond. The company will showcase all three solutions at NHS ConfedExpo in Manchester on 10 and 11 June 2026 at Stand A34, marking its formal entry into the UK health technology market.
