Sony Electronics has introduced two new BRAVIA True RGB televisions — the BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II — alongside the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, a new home audio system, advancing the company’s push to bring cinema-grade picture and sound quality into the home.
True RGB Display Technology
Both the BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II use True RGB panel technology, which Sony positions as delivering more accurate colour reproduction than conventional display approaches. True RGB addresses colour volume and luminance at a per-pixel level, targeting a viewing experience closer to professional cinema displays.
The BRAVIA 9 II sits at the top of the new lineup, while the BRAVIA 7 II offers the True RGB proposition at a broader market price point. Specific panel sizes, pricing, and regional availability were not detailed in the announcement.
BRAVIA Theatre Trio Completes the Home Cinema Package
Sony is pairing the new televisions with the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, a home audio system that includes Sub 9 and Rear 9 components. The system is designed to integrate directly with BRAVIA TVs for a coordinated home theatre experience, consistent with Sony’s strategy of tightening the connection between its display and audio product lines under the BRAVIA brand umbrella.
Sony has a strong retail presence across Southeast Asia, and the new BRAVIA range is expected to be available across the region, including Singapore, in the coming months.
