Tenable Partners with Anthropic to Power Agentic Cybersecurity with Claude

Pulse Secure Extends Pulse Cares Program to Assist Global Shift to New Remote Workstyle and Digital Business Acceleration

Tenable has announced new AI initiatives with Anthropic to accelerate agentic capabilities across the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, alongside the general availability of Tenable Hexa AI — the agentic AI engine within the platform designed to turn exposure intelligence into coordinated action at machine speed.

Claude Powers Cybersecurity Operations at Scale

Claude will help power workflows within Tenable Hexa AI, with Tenable applying the model to real-world cybersecurity operations including vulnerability prioritisation, remediation orchestration, and exposure analysis across modern attack surfaces. Anthropic is also participating in EXPOSURE 2026 in Boston this week, where the companies are discussing how frontier AI is reshaping both cyber risk and defence.

“The volume of exposures is increasing, the time between discovery and exploit is shrinking, and security teams need a fundamentally different approach. That’s why Tenable has developed a deep working relationship with Anthropic,” said Mark Thurmond, co-CEO of Tenable. “With Claude-fuelled innovations we are accelerating R&D and our exposure management roadmap.”

“As AI reshapes cybersecurity, organisations need to integrate AI into their security operations,” said Jason Clinton, Deputy CISO, Anthropic. “We’re excited to work with Tenable to apply Claude’s capabilities to help customers better understand risk, prioritise action, and respond faster.”

Tenable Hexa AI: General Availability

Tenable Hexa AI is now generally available to all Tenable One Foundation and Tenable One Advanced customers. It leverages the Tenable Exposure Data Fabric — the company’s repository of contextualised exposure data combining native telemetry, third-party data, and Tenable Research — to transform fragmented technical data into prioritised, business-aligned intelligence.

New capabilities include advanced multi-step reasoning to execute complex workflows across exposure surfaces in a single request; automated remediation workflows that create and route tickets, generate custom policies, and produce audit-ready reports; and end-to-end exposure path insights that surface vulnerabilities linked to identity attributes including service accounts and privileged users.

AI as Attack Vector and Defence Tool

The announcement addresses a dual dynamic: frontier AI models are simultaneously accelerating vulnerability discovery at unprecedented scale — compressing timelines from months to minutes — while also enabling the defensive automation needed to keep pace. Tenable Hexa AI operates within a complete agentic harness providing continuous visibility, guardrails, and auditability for production environments.

“AI Agents operating without the right guardrails and harness can be unpredictable, brittle, or unsafe in real-world enterprise environments,” said Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer, Tenable. “Tenable Hexa AI wraps powerful models in the structure, controls and oversight they need to act reliably and safely at scale.”

Tenable serves over 40,000 customers globally and analyses data across complex hybrid attack surfaces spanning IT infrastructure, cloud, and operational technology environments.
