PepsiCo has launched the fourth edition of its Asia Pacific startup accelerator with a structural shift in focus: moving from pilot-led experimentation to the commercial integration of proven solutions into its supply chain. The PepsiCo Greenhouse Program APAC 2026: The IMPACT Edition opened on 23 April, selecting five alumni from previous cohorts rather than recruiting new entrants.
A change in approach
Previous editions of the Greenhouse Program ran more than 22 pilots across over 30 startups since the programme launched in APAC. The 2026 edition narrows that scope deliberately, inviting only alumni who have already demonstrated traction within PepsiCo’s ecosystem to a seven-month programme focused on commercial agreements, operational integration, and cross-market expansion.
To support this, PepsiCo has introduced what it calls an IMPACT Framework — a cross-functional operating model that brings together teams from sustainability, supply chain, procurement, R&D, and operations earlier in the process. The framework is designed to reduce the friction that typically slows the transition from pilot to deployment. Each solution is also anchored to PepsiCo’s pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) sustainability agenda, covering agriculture, climate, and circularity priorities.
“This edition reflects a deliberate shift from exploring ideas broadly to backing the solutions most capable of creating strategic advantage across the region.” — Anne Tse, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, PepsiCo
The 2026 cohort
The five selected startups span logistics, waste management, agri-tech, and soil analytics:
- Adiona (Australia, 2023 alumna) — An AI-powered logistics optimisation platform. Early deployments have delivered a 19% reduction in fleet distance travelled, with potential Scope 3 emissions benefits across PepsiCo’s bottler networks.
- Bali Waste Cycle (Indonesia, 2025 alumna) — A decentralised waste processing model targeting low-value plastics recovery and Extended Producer Responsibility compliance.
- Beijing AIForce Tech (China, 2025 alumna) — Electric agricultural machinery that automates farming processes to reduce emissions and labour dependency.
- Takachar (Thailand, 2024 alumna) — Mobile technology converting crop residues into biochar, reducing open burning and enabling carbon sequestration.
- X-Centric (Australia, 2024 alumna) — A digital soil analytics platform supporting regenerative agriculture and Scope 3 emissions tracking.
Partners and next steps
The programme’s partner ecosystem has expanded to include Artesian, AgFunder Asia, the Singapore Agri-Food Innovation Lab (SAIL) at Nanyang Technological University, and AgriFutures growAG, alongside returning partners Circulate Capital, GC Ventures, and CM Venture Capital. These partners provide project development support, market access, and potential investment as solutions mature.
The programme will culminate in a showcase in Singapore in October 2026, where the five startups will present commercial and operational progress to PepsiCo leadership, partners, and prospective investors.
