ST Telemedia Global Data Centres and SuperX launch AI Innovation Centre in Singapore

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) and SuperX AI Technology Limited — a full-stack artificial intelligence (AI) data centre infrastructure solutions provider — have launched an AI Innovation Centre in Singapore.

The centre, hosted at the STT Singapore 5 facility in Tai Seng, will combine STT GDC’s resilient infrastructure with SuperX’s AI orchestration to enable enterprises to fast-track their AI journey from experimentation to production-ready scale in a matter of weeks.

Customers can look forward to leveraging the centre’s high-performance compute for complex workloads such as advanced modelling and large-scale data simulations. It is thus ideal for short-term AI workloads, including pilots, proof of concepts (PoCs), and model benchmarking.

Through the strategic partnership, STT GDC and SuperX aim toreduce the operational complexity that often causes AI pilots to stall, while enabling enterprises to innovate with significantly lower upfront investment and risk.

“[In] Singapore, the AI ambition is currently outpacing the infrastructure reality,” said Mingcheng Lim, Country Head, Singapore at ST Telemedia Global Data Centres.

He shared that while more than 95% of Singapore’s organisations have embarked on their AI journey, only 10% of the firms have infrastructure capable of supporting AI at scale. As a result, over half (52%) of organisations remain trapped in the “building” stage and are unable to scale from pilot to production.

These were findings from STT GDC’s new research titled “Mind the Gap: Bridging the AI Infrastructure Divide”, that indicated a critical AI infrastructure gap across Singapore as well as Asia.

“Together, we want to help enterprises to experiment with AI, but they are struggling with cost, complexity, and cloud login,” said Lim. “The AI Innovation Centre (AIC) will provide ready, locally available AI compute to help accelerate pilots and PoCs.

“It is designed to help organisations test, validate, and scaleconfidently AI workloads. The AIC is a purpose-built environment for AI experimentation.

“This is jointly delivered by STT GDC. We’ll provide the infrastructure, the operational expertise, as well as the resiliency. And together with SuperX, we’ll have the AI platform, the tooling, and the orchestration.

“This will be held in a secure, dedicated AI compute environment.”

Key features of the AI Innovation Centre include:

The AI Innovation Centre is now open to enterprises, regional businesses, and Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) offering a 14-day free trial to validate performance, cost, and feasibility.

Beyond initial validation, the centre offers options for full production, hybrid and private AI deployment models, as well as flexible scaling options within STT GDC’s global footprint. This enables organisations to establish a long-term infrastructure partnership that ensures continued innovation and operational resilience.
