HTX and Singtel Group have renewed and expanded a five-year strategic partnership aimed at strengthening Singapore’s public safety capabilities through advanced digital and network technologies.
Under the renewed Strategic Partnership for Innovation (SPI) Master Agreement, Singtel Singapore and Singtel Digital InfraCo will work with HTX to enhance the resilience, performance and security of Home Team systems. The collaboration will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), communications technology, network services and cybersecurity.
The agreement builds on earlier joint work between the two organisations, including the co-development and deployment of network slicing. This technology is designed to minimise the impact of network congestion on Home Team officers during major operations and public events.
Focus on AI, Secure Connectivity and Cybersecurity
As part of the expanded partnership, Singtel Group will support HTX in optimising network operations using data-driven insights, expanding secure communications and strengthening operational intelligence through AI-enabled solutions.
To support growing AI requirements, Singtel Digital InfraCo’s AI cloud service, RE:AI, will provide secure and high-performance AI infrastructure for public safety use cases. According to the companies, the platform is designed to support latency-sensitive applications while ensuring sensitive data remains within trusted local environments.
RE:AI will also enable HTX to prototype and deploy AI use cases more quickly and cost-effectively. These capabilities are intended to support Home Team officers with faster response times, improved decision-making and sustained operational readiness amid a more complex security environment.
Mr Ng Tian Chong, chief executive officer of Singtel Singapore, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to safeguarding Singapore against evolving threats. “By bringing together HTX’s deep domain expertise and Singtel’s capabilities in advanced connectivity, AI and security, we are equipping those who protect Singapore with stronger tools and greater operational agility,” he said.
Supporting an AI-Enabled Home Team
Mr Bill Chang, chief executive officer of Singtel Digital InfraCo, said trusted and sovereign technology is critical for public security, adding that Singtel’s secured digital infrastructure allows HTX to run critical, real-time applications with confidence.
HTX chief executive Mr Chan Tsan said the partnership aligns with the agency’s vision of building an AI-enabled Home Team. He added that working closely with trusted partners such as Singtel is increasingly important given the evolving public safety landscape.
HTX is a statutory board under Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs and supports agencies including the Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force through science and technology solutions.
