vivo has launched its new X300 and X300 Pro flagship smartphones in Singapore, introducing upgraded 200-megapixel (MP) ZEISS cameras and the global debut of its updated operating system, OriginOS. The vivo X300 series marks the brand’s 30th anniversary and extends its focus on mobile imaging and user-centred design.
ZEISS Partnership Drives Imaging Upgrades
Imaging is the centrepiece of the X300 line-up. The vivo X300 Pro features a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera with an Ultra-Sensing Sensor HPB, paired with a 50MP gimbal-grade main camera on a large 1/1.28-inch sensor and CIPA 5.5-rated stabilisation. A dedicated Pro Imaging Chip VS1 supports clearer output, faster processing and improved noise control.
The vivo X300 carries a 200MP ZEISS main camera with CIPA 4.5-rated stabilisation and a ZEISS APO telephoto lens using the new LYT-602 sensor, designed for higher dynamic range and reduced power consumption.
Both devices include a refreshed 50MP ZEISS wide-angle front camera with autofocus and vivo’s high-resolution portrait algorithm. Users can further extend telephoto capabilities through the vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender Kit.
Expanded Photography and Video Tools
The vivo X300 series introduces new tools aimed at content creators, including Stage Mode 2.0 and 4K Stage All-in-One Recording, which enables users to take high-resolution stills while recording video. Dual-View Stage Video allows filming from two cameras simultaneously.
Portrait photography sees enhancements such as ZEISS Natural Portrait for more realistic skin tones, Night Portrait for better low-light shots and Portrait Snapshot across focal lengths. The X300 Pro adds 20x Long-Range Motion Snapshot and ZEISS Mirotar-style telephoto bokeh for subject separation.
Professional videography support includes 4K 120fps Pro Video on both models. The X300 Pro extends this with 4K 120fps Dolby Vision and 10-bit Log formats for more flexible colour grading.
AI tools, including AI One-Shot Multi-Crop, AI Landscape Master and Live Photo Passerby Erase, expand editing and post-processing capabilities.
OriginOS Makes Global Debut
The launch marks the first international release of OriginOS, supported by vivo’s Ultra-core Computing, Memory Fusion and Dual Rendering engines for smoother performance. New features include Flip Cards for motion-based lock-screen customisation, Origin Island for contextual reminders and a vivo Office Kit enabling phone-to-PC mirroring and cross-device file transfer.
vivo also introduced a consolidated vivo Security brand, which includes Private Space for encrypted file storage. The X300 series will receive five years of OS upgrades.
Performance, Battery and Display Improvements
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip co-developed with vivo, the devices use TSMC’s N3P process and adopt a 12-core G1-Ultra GPU and upgraded NPU for better energy efficiency and computational imaging.
Battery capacities are 6,510mAh for the X300 Pro and 6,040mAh for the X300, both supporting 90W FlashCharge and wireless charging. The 8T LTPO display reaches 2,000 nits global peak brightness and uses 2,160Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort.
Durability features include IP68 and IP69 ratings, reinforced or armour glass depending on model, and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanning.
Design and CASETiFY Collaboration
The vivo X300 series features a unibody 3D glass design with a velvet-matte finish. The X300 comes in Phantom Black and Halo Pink, while the X300 Pro adds Dune Brown.
vivo also announced its first collaboration with CASETiFY, offering a Clear Impact Case and a limited-edition model designed with artist Zhou Riyang. Pre-order customers will receive the CASETiFY case as part of bundled promotions.
