StarHub has launched its new 5G Unlimited+ Plans, introducing contract-free mobile tiers that combine unlimited 5G local data, global roaming, scam protection and monthly device credits. The telco said the plans are designed for customers who want reliable, seamless connectivity in Singapore and abroad.
The 5G Unlimited+ Plans, which StarHub described as a first-of-its-kind offering in Singapore, aim to remove traditional trade-offs between flexibility, protection and convenience by bundling all features into one package.
Unlimited 5G data and roaming
The new 5G Unlimited+ range consists of four options — Lite, Core, Plus and Max — positioned for different usage needs. Across all tiers, customers receive unlimited local data, calls and SMS, as well as global roaming coverage in 165 destinations. Roaming includes unlimited calls and SMS, along with data allocations that begin once customers touch down overseas.
The plans are contract-free, allowing users to switch or upgrade at any time. StarHub said customers will also earn monthly DeviceDollars, credits that can be used to offset handset purchases.
The operator has also integrated its ScamSafe service into every tier. All incoming calls and messages are screened automatically for potential fraud, part of the company’s broader consumer protection measures.
“Singaporeans today know they have choices, but what they really want is value and quality that just work — reliable coverage, no hidden limits, no surprises when the bill arrives,” said Matt Williams, Chief, Consumer Business Group at StarHub. He added that the plans are intended to eliminate major pain points such as data caps and roaming uncertainty.
Customer protection and multi-line benefits
StarHub said the plans are structured to offer “effortless, secured and worry-free” connectivity. Customers with multiple mobile lines can receive tiered discounts, with the fourth line free.
The telco emphasised that there are no data limits to monitor and no roaming administration, aligning with rising consumer expectations for transparency and simplicity. The Unlimited+ suite follows broader industry trends in Singapore, where operators have competed aggressively on roaming inclusions and scam protection tools.
Singapore’s 5G rollout has reached nationwide coverage, with all major telcos introducing premium and mass-market 5G plans in recent years. Unlimited mobile data remains a differentiator, particularly for heavy users, frequent travellers and families managing multiple lines.
StarHub’s approach of combining unlimited 5G data, global roaming and anti-scam features reflects increased customer sensitivity to bill shocks, travel convenience and digital safety — areas highlighted by regulators and consumer groups.
StarHub said customers can subscribe to the 5G Unlimited+ Plans through the StarHub app, its website or retail outlets. The company has not announced promotional pricing or device bundle partnerships, but said the no-contract structure is intended to give customers flexibility as their usage patterns evolve.
