Legal tech giant Clio has launched its AI-driven legal assistant, Clio Duo, across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, in a move that underscores the accelerating demand for practical, privacy-conscious AI solutions in the legal sector.
Billed as an “intelligent legal partner”, Clio Duo is fully integrated into the company’s flagship practice management platform, Clio Manage. The solution aims to automate routine legal tasks, extract insights from case documents, and provide intelligent recommendations, helping law firms enhance client service, increase productivity, and boost profitability.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Clio Duo to the market—a powerful AI built on a foundation of trust and value for legal professionals,” said Denise Farmer, General Manager, APAC at Clio. “This launch comes at the perfect time for a market poised to lead in legal tech adoption.”
Automating the routine to focus on impact
Designed specifically for the legal industry, Clio Duo enables lawyers to offload repetitive tasks such as drafting emails, generating summaries, retrieving matter details, and recommending time entries. It provides lawyers with the space to concentrate on high-value work, such as case strategy and client advocacy.
Firms with early access in the region have reported faster case resolution, quicker client responses, and a significant reduction in manual document review. According to Clio, this has not only improved operational efficiency but also contributed to firm growth.
Built for trust, not just speed
What sets Clio Duo apart from generic AI tools is its strong emphasis on privacy and compliance. Unlike open-source AI models, Clio Duo draws exclusively from a firm’s existing Clio data and does not train on client information. Every interaction is auditable, with permission controls ensuring users access only the data they are authorised to see.
“Law firms across Singapore are eager for secure, integrated, and genuinely useful AI solutions,” added Farmer. “Clio Duo empowers firms to enhance operations without compromising client trust or ethical obligations.”
The launch is timely, as AI adoption continues to climb among legal professionals. According to Clio’s latest Legal Trends Report, 79 per cent of law firms are already using AI tools, and over 80 per cent plan to increase their usage in the next 12 months. Clients are also responding positively—70 per cent say they are open to or prefer firms that incorporate AI into their legal services.
Available now
Clio Duo is now available to all Clio Manage customers across Singapore and the wider APAC region, offering law firms a purpose-built AI solution that aligns with their regulatory and operational needs.
