Razer is betting big on artificial intelligence to reshape how video games are made, unveiling a suite of AI tools on Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at streamlining development and raising the bar for gameplay quality.
Announced on Wednesday, the Razer AI Game Developer Tools will soon be available on AWS Marketplace, opening up access to global game studios ranging from AAA giants to indie outfits. The tools are designed to bring intelligent automation to game production, significantly cutting testing time while offering real-time insights for developers and players alike.
The move marks a key expansion for Razer’s next-generation WYVRN AI gaming ecosystem, as the company leans into the rapidly evolving $424 billion gaming industry. With over 3.3 billion gamers worldwide and AI increasingly embedded into digital experiences, Razer’s entry into AI-driven development signals a pivotal shift from just gaming hardware to a broader, cloud-based software platform.
Smarter development, faster releases

The toolkit features two key products: the Razer Game Assistant and Razer QA Companion.
First introduced as Project AVA at CES 2025, the Game Assistant uses generative AI to deliver real-time coaching, post-game analysis and performance insights. It can also be trained on genre- and title-specific datasets, allowing integration directly into gameplay—offering players a more adaptive, intelligent experience.
Meanwhile, the QA Companion transforms game testing by automatically detecting bugs, crashes and performance issues, freeing up QA teams to focus on refining the gameplay itself. It’s compatible with major game engines like Unreal and Unity, with plug-and-play templates that eliminate time-consuming manual scripting.
Razer has also partnered with global QA specialist Side to co-develop advanced testing features, with the aim of shortening development cycles and reducing time-to-market.
Scalability through the cloud
Both tools are built on Amazon Bedrock, AWS’s managed generative AI service, enabling them to scale securely and cost-effectively. Razer’s tools tap into foundation models tailored for gaming use cases, allowing developers to integrate them within existing pipelines through the cloud.
“With the launch of Razer AI Game Developer Tools, we are excited to deepen our collaboration with AWS,” said Quyen Quach, VP of Software at Razer. “These tools will offer developers a powerful, cost-effective way to scale, reduce time-to-market, and elevate player experiences.”
Gunish Chawla, Managing Director, Commercial Sector, ASEAN at AWS, added: “Our collaboration with Razer showcases how building AI tools for gameplay coaching and QA testing on the cloud can help studios innovate faster, while maintaining quality, ultimately benefiting developers and players globally.”
Global rollout underway
The tools are currently in beta testing with both indie and AAA studios following a successful showcase at the 2025 Game Developers Conference. The global rollout via AWS Marketplace is expected soon, making it easier for studios to integrate the tools and enhance their production pipelines.
