Digital reading retailer Rakuten Kobo has launched Kobo Plus in Singapore, offering unlimited access to over two million eBooks and 300,000 audiobooks for as little as SGD 9.99 per month.
The subscription service, already available in several international markets, caters to a growing demand for digital reading in Singapore. Kobo Plus is accessible through the Kobo Books App on iOS and Android and directly on Kobo eReaders, allowing users to explore a wide range of genres, from bestsellers to literary classics.
Meeting Asia’s Growing Digital Reading Demand
The launch comes as the global eBook market, valued at USD 18.02 billion in 2024, is projected to reach USD 22.76 billion by 2030, driven largely by growth in Asia. With digital reading gaining traction in Singapore—spurred by increasing smartphone usage and a shift towards on-the-go consumption – Kobo is positioning itself to capitalise on this trend.

- Kobo Plus Listen: Unlimited audiobooks for SGD 9.99/month
