Canon has unveiled the SELPHY QX20, a compact photo printer that introduces enhanced creative options for users, expanding on the popular SELPHY SQUARE QX10. The SELPHY QX20, now supporting business-card sized prints in addition to square format paper, is designed to offer users greater flexibility in how they preserve and share their photo memories. Available in three stylish colors—Sand White, Dark Grey, and Terracotta Red—the printer is ideal for on-the-go printing with a sleek, portable design.
The SELPHY QX20 stands out with its ability to print both square and business-card sized photos, giving users more ways to customize their prints. Canon believes this feature will appeal to a wide audience of creative individuals, from scrapbookers to event organizers.

Weighing less than a 500ml bottle of water, the SELPHY QX20 is designed for portability, fitting easily into daily bags. Users can pair the printer with their smart devices via the SELPHY Photo Layout app, allowing them to edit, decorate, and customize their photos before printing. With options such as collages, frames, and overlays, users can turn their prints into personalized mementos on the spot.
High-Quality Prints with Durable Finish
Incorporating dye-sublimation thermal transfer technology, the SELPHY QX20 produces sharp, vibrant photos with smooth color gradients. A new clarity-focused sharpness processing method further enhances the quality of the prints, ensuring clear and vivid images. Each print is coated with a protective laminate that guards against water, dirt, and fingerprints, making them durable and long-lasting. Canon assures that if stored properly in albums, the prints can last up to 100 years, preserving memories for future generations.
The printer supports two sticker paper formats, adding more versatility for creating labels, scrapbooks, or custom souvenirs that can be distributed immediately at gatherings.
Faster Charging and Printing for Modern Lifestyles
The SELPHY QX20 is built to accommodate fast-paced lifestyles, with printing times of around 40 seconds per photo and a full charge time of just 80 minutes using a USB Type-C cable, marking a significant improvement over its predecessor.
The SELPHY QX20 will be available at Canon-authorized dealers in October 2024. Pricing details will be announced closer to the release date.
