Singapore – Singapore’s digital telco, giga!, is marking its fifth anniversary with the introduction of 5G eSIM plans, offering free data roaming to five popular destinations. The new plans cater to the growing number of consumers traveling for leisure and work, providing lightning-fast, secure, and convenient 5G connectivity.
The three new offerings from giga! promise reliable network connectivity through nationwide 5G coverage, the convenience of eSIM technology, and free monthly data roaming to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, and India. Customers can expect faster download and upload speeds, seamless streaming, and ultra-low latency, powered by Singapore’s fastest network.
Aligning with its commitment to sustainability, giga! has integrated eSIM technology to reduce its eco-footprint and eliminate the need for physical SIM cards. This move not only supports environmental sustainability but also enhances customer security by minimizing the risk of SIM card theft and fraud. Transactions are exclusively conducted via the giga! app to ensure data protection.
From now until 30 June 2024, existing customers on plans such as the $18.33, $20.37, and $25.45 will be automatically upgraded to the new 5G eSIM plans. They can exchange their old SIM cards for eSIMs for free, a service typically costing $1. Post-promotion, a $1 fee will apply for eSIMs and a $2.04 fee for the delivery of physical 5G SIM cards.
The $18.33 5G plan includes 300GB of data, 800 SMS, 800 minutes of talk time, and 2GB of free roaming data. Customers can purchase the new 5G eSIM plans via the giga! app or online at giga!.
