The company revealed its expansion and rapid innovation with the Data Security Alliance, welcoming new members and delivering integrations with prominent industry partners.
Among the new members of the Data Security Alliance are Netskope, ServiceNow, and Zscaler. These additions further strengthen the alliance, which was initially introduced in November 2022 and already included esteemed names such as BigID, Cisco, CyberArk, Mandiant, Okta, Palo Alto Networks, PwC UK, Qualys, Securonix, and Splunk.
The Data Security Alliance represents a unique and comprehensive approach to security. By partnering with leading vendors in cybersecurity, data security and management, and related services, the alliance aims to bridge the gap between enterprise IT and security. The demand for such alliances is on the rise globally. According to a forthcoming global research study commissioned by Cohesity, in partnership with BigID and Tenable, 87% of over 3,000 IT and security respondents believe that uniting data security and management companies with cybersecurity companies is vital in combating ransomware. This finding underscores the significance of complete and integrated anti-ransomware solutions in the ongoing battle against cyber threats.

Netskope: Cohesity and Netskope will join forces to provide enhanced data protection that addresses the challenges posed by double-extortion ransomware attacks. Cohesity classifies backup data and shares information about sensitive files with Zscaler, which fortifies cloud-based communication channels. Customers gain enriched visibility in their CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale dashboard, thanks to insights from Cohesity. This integration facilitates fast correlation, investigation, and response to incidents from a single location.
- ServiceNow: ServiceNow® Security Operations adds closed-loop detection and response capabilities for ransomware attacks through SOAR integration. This complements the existing ability to create workflows using the IT service management (ITSM) solution, allowing teams to swiftly identify and address threats based on their potential impact on the business.
- Tenable: Cohesity introduced a new, re-architected integration with Tenable to power the CyberScan marketplace app. This updated integration offers improved scalability, enabling rapid scanning of snapshots and meeting demanding service level agreement (SLA) and recovery time objective (RTO) requirements. The enhanced scalability enhances proactive vulnerability scanning, an essential component of cyber resilience best practices.
Leaders from CrowdStrike and Tenable praised the collaborative efforts with Cohesity and the importance of such integrations in the fight against cyber threats. Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, emphasized the comprehensive and advanced approaches provided by the powerful integrations, while Ray Komar, Vice President of Technical Alliances at Tenable, expressed excitement about supporting the newly re-architected integration of the CyberScan marketplace app, enabling efficient and rapid scanning of large workloads.
IDC Research Manager Johnny Yu also recognized the significance of improved collaboration between data management and security providers. Yu noted that tighter integration of their respective services is critical in addressing sophisticated cyberattacks like ransomware.
