iCandy Interactive’s Flying Sheep Studios is developing a web-based metaverse game that prioritizes community-driven experiences and socializing. The game, called Star Life, is a social massively multiplayer online (MMO) game that will eventually host events and concerts. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has provided funding of approximately EUR 1.1 million for the development of Star Life.

Flying Sheep Studios is known for its expertise in HTML5 web-based game development and is utilizing its skills to create a sophisticated web-based metaverse game. One of the key features of Star Life is its high accessibility, making it conveniently playable from any browser on any device without needing downloads, installations, or high-end technology.

Star Life offers players various options for character creation, shopping, and community-driven events, such as concerts and exhibitions. The game also incorporates optional blockchain-enabled items, or NFTs, giving players more ownership and agency over their virtual belongings.

The game will be free to play and available to everyone. Flying Sheep Studios has also hired additional talent, including four industry veterans to develop this groundbreaking project. The team includes a Lead Game Designer, Lead 3D Developer, Head of Back-End Development, and Head of Diversity & Inclusion.
