Updated: Next Apple Watch to have LTE?

According to Bloomberg, Apple will be announcing the launch of its next Apple Watch with LTE support at the end of the year. This means that the Watch can finally be fully independent of the cellular function of the iPhone.

If this report is all true, consumers should be able to stream Apple Music, use Apple Map and send text messages through the Watch, which could redefine the future of wearable technology that is if Samsung and other tech giants don’t beat them to their game first. I guess we will all know by the of the year.

One thing we do know is that the LTE version should cost you a lot more than the one without LTE support. Duh…
