Samsung has launched its new Galaxy S26 Series in Singapore, positioning it as its most advanced Galaxy AI smartphone line to date, with upgraded performance, camera features and new privacy controls.
The Galaxy S26 Series — comprising the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra — opens for pre-order from Feb 26 at 2am (SGT), with general availability from Mar 11.

Samsung said the Galaxy S26 Series introduces more proactive and adaptive Galaxy AI features designed to reduce the steps needed to complete everyday tasks, from searching for information to editing photos.
“With the Galaxy S26 Series, we focused on making AI feel effortless by designing it to complete tasks naturally, working quietly in the background so people can focus on what matters,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer and Head of Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics.
Performance And Galaxy AI Enhancements
The Galaxy S26 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, while the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are powered by the Exynos 2600 processor.
Samsung said the S26 Ultra delivers up to 19 per cent faster CPU performance and a 39 per cent improvement in neural processing unit (NPU) performance compared with the previous generation. A redesigned vapour chamber is intended to improve thermal efficiency during gaming and multitasking.
New AI features include:
- Now Nudge, which surfaces contextual suggestions such as photo sharing or calendar checks
- Now Brief, offering personalised reminders
- Upgraded Circle to Search with Google with multi-object recognition
- An enhanced Bixby with more conversational controls
- Integration with AI agents including Google Gemini and Perplexity
Samsung said certain AI features require a Samsung account and may vary by market.
Camera And Creative Tools
The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 200-megapixel wide camera, supported by wider apertures to improve low-light photography. Samsung said Nightography Video has been enhanced to produce clearer footage in dim conditions.
The S26 Ultra also supports APV, a new video codec aimed at high-quality production workflows.
AI-powered editing tools have been expanded under Photo Assist and Creative Studio, allowing users to modify images using text prompts. AI-generated edits are marked with a visible watermark, according to the company.
Privacy Display And Security Updates
A new Privacy Display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra limits side-angle viewing when activated. Users can customise when the feature turns on, such as during password entry.
Samsung said it has also extended post-quantum cryptography protection to additional system processes, alongside updates to Knox Matrix and on-device Personal Data Engine encryption.
The Galaxy S26 Series will receive seven years of security updates.
