SG100 Women in Tech 2025 Honours 125 Female Leaders and Young Talent

The fourth edition of the SG100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT) list was unveiled on Friday (Aug 29) at the Tech3 Forum 2025, recognising 100 women leaders and 25 young innovators shaping Singapore’s digital economy.

The annual list is organised by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). It is a flagship initiative of the Singapore Women in Tech (SGWIT) movement, which aims to promote diversity and inclusion in the technology sector.

Women Leaders Driving Digital Transformation

This year’s honourees include chiefs of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity directors, and professors in digital forensics and national security systems. Their expertise spans emerging areas such as blockchain, semiconductors and computational science, with applications across healthcare, law, construction and space technology.

Themed “Empowering Yourself, Inspiring Others”, SG100WIT 2025 received 635 nominations. The Girls in Tech category, which recognises female students aged 13 to 35, recorded 110 entries – the highest since its launch in 2021.

Organisers said the milestone reflects growing interest among young women in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Celebrating Young Women in Tech

This year’s 25 Girls in Tech honourees represent local schools, polytechnics, universities and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). Many lead women-in-tech initiatives, head student societies or run startups while continuing their studies. Their projects cover artificial intelligence, robotics and computer science, reinforcing Singapore’s talent pipeline in the sector.

Mrs Tan Lee Chew, President of the Women in Tech Chapter at SCS, said: “SG100WIT is a celebration of women who are boldly shaping what’s next, not just through innovation, but through purpose. They’re leading with courage, designing with care, and building technologies that improve lives.”

Ms Dorcas Tan, Chairperson of SG Women in Tech at IMDA, added that the record number of Girls in Tech nominations reflects “the tremendous progress women leaders are making in our tech landscape” and underscores their role in shaping Singapore’s digital economy.

The SG100WIT initiative forms part of broader national efforts to strengthen Singapore’s digital competitiveness through inclusive leadership. Organisers said the recognition of role models in both industry and education will continue to inspire young women to enter technology-related fields.
