M1 has introduced an eSIM option for its Maxx SIM-Only mobile plans, enabling users to activate their service within minutes without waiting for physical SIM delivery or visiting retail stores.
The move is set to enhance user convenience, particularly for digital-first customers seeking immediate mobile connectivity. With this launch, M1 becomes the latest telco in Singapore to offer eSIM support on budget-friendly mobile plans, a feature once limited to premium subscriptions.
Starting from S$7.90 per month, Maxx SIM-Only plans offer substantial data allowances and roaming benefits, appealing to price-sensitive yet data-hungry consumers. The addition of eSIM functionality brings further flexibility – particularly useful for frequent travellers and dual-SIM users.
Fast, Travel-Ready and Flexible
With eSIM activation now taking under two minutes, M1 is streamlining access to mobile services. Users can also store multiple eSIM profiles on a single device, allowing easy switching between phone numbers, plans or service providers.
The Maxx eSIM plan includes 290GB of local data usable in Singapore and Malaysia, 10GB of regional roaming data for destinations including Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand and Taiwan, and 2GB of international roaming data. Customers also enjoy 500 minutes of local outgoing calls, 99 local SMS, and unlimited incoming calls—retaining the same generous package as the physical SIM version.
No Extra Costs, Easy Access
Customers can select the eSIM option when signing up at maxx.sg, or obtain one at authorised retailers islandwide. M1 confirmed there are no additional fees for choosing the eSIM variant over a physical SIM card.
