The entire range of Mercedes-Benz cars will be receiving live traffic information from the Open Location Platform company, HERE Technologies.

Announced during the CES 2019, Daimler, the manufacturer of Mercedez-Benz, shared that the initial launch of HERE’s Real-Time Traffic service will be in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada. Subsequently, it will further expand its service to more countries this year.

Peter Kurpick, Chief Platform Officer at Here Technologies said:

“Our selection by Mercedez-Benz, a brand that stands for the very best in automotive quality, demonstrates our strong performance in traffic. We have rapidly scaled our traffic service globally over the past 18 months and today we provide the closest thing to a live depiction of the road. I am very excited for the HERE team and our customers, and look forward to continuing the momentum we have in traffic.”

With HERE’s technologies, drivers will receive “up-to-the-minute” information on traffic conditions, accidents and even construction zones. This is done through its Real-Time Traffic, which analyses data from a range of sources to attain the most accurate traffic information.

Singapore is one of selected countries where Daimler’s Mercedez-Benz will receive the HERE’s Real-Time Traffic service update.

Other countries include: Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan.
